| Batamaloo-Parimpora road widening delayed due to lack of funds: Altaf Bukahri | |  Srinagar, October 6,(Scoop News)-,The State Government Tuesday said the process of widening the crucial road link along the northern periphery of Srinagar city has got delayed due to lack of funds.
Replying to a question by Noor Mohammad Sheikh, MLA Batamaloo, the R&B minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that due to resource constraints, the complete road widening from Batamaloo to Qamarwari and Qamarwari to Parimpora has got delayed.
"The department has projected the demand to Planning and Development Department for release of additional funds for the completion of widening work," Mr Bukhari said in the house.
On the supplementary questions raised by Shakti Raj Parihar, Mohammad Khalil Bandh, Rajiv Jasrotia, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and Aijaz Ahmad Mir, the minister assured that the issues raised by them will be addressed.
The Minister said that work of Ring Road in Pulwama is going on at full swing and the R&B Department has been asked to complete it at the earliest given the frequent traffic snarls in the town.
