| Army pays befitting tribute with full military honours to four martyred soldiers | | of Kupwara ambush |  Srinagar, October 6, (Scoop News)-Army on Tuesday paid a befitting tribute with full military honours to the martyred soldiers Gunner Surendra, Sepoy Surinder Singh, Lance Naik Botta Satyam and Lance Naik Gurdev Singh who had laid down their lives while fighting the terrorists in Rajwar of Kupwara District on Monday, a defence spokesman said.
He said the valour and sacrifice of the late soldiers was paid tribute in a solemn ceremony held at Badami Bagh Cantonment on the outskirts of Srinagar, the summer capital.
Late Gunner Surendra, Sepoy Surinder Singh, Lance Naik Botta Satyam and Lance Naik Gurdev Singh were members of the army team that launched an operation on Monday in Haphruda forest of Rajwar in Kupwara District, in which they approached the suspected area where the terrorists were reportedly hiding and they came under a heavy volume of fire.
