| Katra Chopper Crash: Dy CM, Sukhnandan attend funeral of Chib couple | |  Jammu, November 24 (Scoop News)-The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh alongwith Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control attended the funeral ceremony of Arjun Chib and his wife Vandana who died in the chopper crash near Katra here on Monday.
MPs Shamser Singh Manhas and Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA Katra, Ajay Nanda, Vice–Chairman Kissan Advisory Board, Mr D S Chib and several other political leaders were also present at the funeral of Chib couple performed at the native village of the deceased at Gho Manhasan in Jammu.
The Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with the family members of the deceased family and expressed sympathies with them. He prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and said the government would provide every possible support to them.
Dr Singh while interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of the funeral said that Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA) has already initiated a probe in the matter and on its recommendations necessary measures would be put in place to avoid recurrence of such tragic incidents in future.
