JK Governor,CM,Dy CM,others greet people on Gurupurab

Jammu, November 24 (Scoop News)- JK Governor, N. N. Vohra, Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed , Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal singh and others greet people on Gurupurab


Governor N. N. Vohra, has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s Birthday.
In a message of greetings, the Governor described Guru Nanak Devji as an apostle of peace and tolerance, adding that his teachings would continue to inspire generations, leading them to the path of righteousness and brotherhood. He said that Guruji strove all his life for social justice and equality and to bring about peace and harmony in the society.
The Governor hoped that the auspicious occasion would further strengthen brotherhood, communal harmony, amity and secular traditions and would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has felicitated the people on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, Birthday of Guru Nanak Devji.
In a message of greetings, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, said Guru Nanak Dev Ji was an apostle of peace and tolerance and hoped the occasion would strengthen the bonds of love, amity and brotherhood among the people.
The Chief Minister also prayed for the well-being of the people of the state.


Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal singh has felicitated the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, Birthday of Guru Nanak Devji.
In a message, Dr Singh said that life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji inspire us to embrace the path of tolerance, compassion and amity.
He expressed hope that the occasion would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among the people of the state and nation as well.
The Deputy Chief Minister also prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and Member Parliament, Ms Mehbooba Mufti has greeted people on Guru Nanak Jayanti being observed tomorrow.
Guru Nanak Jayanti also known as Guru Nanak's Prakash Utsav or ''Gurpurab", is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. The ''Gurpurab" is one of the most sacred festivals of the Sikh community.
Ms Mehbooba said Guru Nanak's message of truth, compassion and tolerance has eternal relevance for liberation of humanity from violence and injustice. “On this day, let us commit ourselves to work collectively towards building a just and humane society," she said and added that Gurpurab is an occasion to reflect on Guru Nanak's timeless teachings and the principles that are at the heart of Sikhism, “including the equality of all human beings, the pluralism we cherish in diverse societies and the compassion we owe one another."
