| Speaker reviews ongoing works of JMC | | Stresses for judicious utilization of funds | 
Jammu, November 24 (Scoop News)- Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a meeting to review the developmental works being executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture, Ms Priya Sethi, besides legislators, Satpaul Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Ashok Khajuria and Charanjit Singh Khalsa were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on different issues especially status of ongoing works, ward-wise funds distribution, plan status, installation and repair of street lights, demolishing of illegal constructions, shortage of safai Karamcharis and approval of work contracts.
Speaker directed the Municipal authorities to complete all ongoing developmental works in a stipulated time frame strictly adhering to the quality norms . He also directed the concerned for judicious utilization of funds besides allotment of works on merit.
Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Ms Mandeep Kour, apprised the meeting about the functioning of the Corporation and status of ongoing projects.
Joint Commissioner (Works), R S Jamwal, Joint Commissioner (Adm), Kushal Chand and other senior officers of Corporation were also present in the meeting.
