NPP to continue agitation for cause of teachers:Mankotia


Jammu, November 27 (Scoop News)- Lambasting the government for its refusal to respond to the genuine concerns of the teachers, Education volunteers and ReT’s appointed under SSA, RMSA who had been deprived of their hard earned wages for the last more than eight months, NPP State President Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia announced while holding protest demonstration at Slathia Chowk Udhampur and further said that the Panthers Party shall continue its agitation for the cause of teaching community at every district headquarter till the Govt. agree to fulfill all pending demands of Ret teachers.

Mr. Mankotia regretted that these teachers had submitted representations on numerous occasions to the top functionaries of the Education Department for redressed of their genuine grievances including timely release of salaries but all were in vain. He said that it was shocking to note the harassment and humiliation doled out to teaching community besides deprivation of their hard earned wages by the government which gave tall slogans of accountability and good governance. He deplored that the helmsmen , instead of protecting and encouraging the interests of the teaching community were only harassing them on the pretext of alleged fraudulent degrees, screening tests, private tuitions etc.

NPP President condemned the State Government for its despicable apathy and culpable neglect of the genuine aspirations of the teaching class. He said that the Panthers Party shall fight shoulder to shoulder with the aggrieved teachers and ReTs in their struggle for justice and sought an early release of their salaries. He added that the ongoing agitation by these teachers had adversely affected the academic activity in various schools of the State causing immense loss to the students. Mr. Mankotia furthers added that next protest dharna of panthers party will be held at district head quarter Kathua on 29th of nov 2015 at 11.30 am opposite district development comm. Office
