| JK CM immensely hates State Subject PoK refugees: Chuni | | 
Jammu, July 25(Scoop News)- “Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti immensely hates State Subject PoK Refugees as it has been evident from her deeds and acts towards State Subject PoK Refugees since the day, she has been holding the office of CM of the State of Jammu and Kashmir”, this was stated by Rajiv Chuni, Chairman S. O. S. International – An organization for PoK Displaced Persons, during a mammoth rally held at Rehari Colony, Jammu.
While addressing thousands of life members State Subject PoK Refugees, Mr. Chuni stated that the present BJP-PDP Coalition Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti has done such things which are not expected by any head of the State. Speaking further, he said that it has been more than 100 days, since S. O. S. International are seeking time from CM to meet her through different quarters. “First, our organization has submitted a written request, then, CM’s private secretary, Dr. MK Dhar was approached telephonically scores of times but nothing positive came out. Then, CAPD Minister, Chowdhry Zulfkar Ali was asked to arrange meeting but he also failed. Ultimately, S. O. S. International approached Advisor to CM, Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, he instead of arranging meeting time with CM, resorted to make fun of State Subject PoK Refugees. Mr. Mattoo remarked if State Subject PoK Refugees’ issues get resolved then refugee politics will be over for S. O. S. International. What a pathetic statement given by Mr. Mattoo! Our issue is a human issue and people like Mr. Mattoo should refrain himself to make fun of it. After observing all these episodes and comments of people sitting close to CM; what can be judged it’s CM on whose behest, these people are not providing us time or people from migrant community sitting there in CM office due to their personal grudge don’t want CM to get aware of other State Subject PoK Refugee’s problems”, he added.
Mr. Chuni further said if Mehbooba had meeting with us then, she wouldn’t have faced the embarrassment over the issues of State Subject PoK Refugees. “One day before Eid, CM had announced at Srinagar that relief amount of Rs 2000 crore would be disbursed immediately next day after Eid among West Pakistani refugees and whereas, this amount is not meant for them. Although, very next day, Government had issued a corrigendum stating that the relief amount is meant for State Subject PoK Refugees and inadvertently it was read as West Pakistani refugees”, he stated.
“It’s unfortunate that the foremost victims of the State are not providing justice for the last 7 decades, they deserve. All the successive Governments talked for other communities but none of the Governments have talked about State Subject PoK Refugees. No one has shown any commitment to resolve the issues pertaining for destitute community of Jammu and Kashmir. S. O. S. International was not provided meeting time with CM for the last 3 months but astonishingly, several delegations which have no relevance with significant subject was given time to meet her. Isn’t it called mockery? State Subject PoK Refugees that are 12 lakh in number are being deprived from their rights for a long time and this time no injustice will be tolerated. State Subject PoK Refugee’s votes play a decisive role in Government formation as it has been witnessed in Assembly elections in which BJP won unprecedented 25 seats from Jammu Division. BJP made several tall promises to State Subject PoK Refugees before elections but it took U-turn after election which is in no way called humane”, S. O. S. International added.
“Governments and political parties have been deceiving State Subject PoK Refugees since 1947 and it’s not new for us but the sort of deliberate attempts to keep us away from our legitimate rights can be proved fatal to Chief Minister’s political career”, Mr. Chuni added. He stated that PoK DPs have been waiting for helping hands since 1947 to get ointment to their wounds but unfortunately, some specific community based people don’t let it happen. Mr. Chuni further said that Government should stop playing its slavish gimmicks otherwise; it will get ready to face the wrath of State Subject PoK Refugees in coming time. He said that lakhs of State Subject PoK Refugees are associating themselves with S. O. S. International by way of becoming its life time members and they are ready to launch an ultimate as well as decisive struggle to get the much awaited justice.
Prof. JS Mangal vice chairman S. O. S. International, while addressing the rally suggested the gathering that we must approach to UN for redressel of our issues because the centre and state governments are unnecessarily tossing our issues on one and other pretext thus violating our human rights for the last more than 7 decades. During these years our 3 generations have been spoiled and we are running in 4th generation whose future also seems gloomy, Prof. Mangal added.
