Two Day National Conference on Recent Trends and Technologies in Data Science
and Artificial Intelligence concludes at Bhaderwah Campus, JU



Bhaderwah ,August 27 (Scoop News)- The two day “National Conference on Recent Trends and Technologies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” organized by the Department of Computer Sciences and IT, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu came to an end today with the Valedictory session held in the Lal Ded Auditorium here this morning.

Prof R.D. Sharma Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, who was Chief Guest at the conference, emphasized the importance of reliability and authenticity in research programs saying that perfection remains always a continued process. He said these research documents are needed to be published in credible and reputed journals in order to achieve maximum outreach of the works being carried out by scholars. Prof. Sharma also lauded the contribution of the delegates by way of paper presentations and said that it adds value to the event as these papers will help researchers for further deliberations. He exhorted the scholars to maintain objectivity which he described imperative for establishing credibility.

Prof. Sharma said that such conferences also unfold vistas of opportunities for the participants to share each others experiences and get benefited from these. “The knowledge is to be shared for intellectual enrichment of society as a whole”, he said and urged the organizers that such conferences and seminars should be a regular feature. He also called for organizing such events on larger canvass so as to entail nation wise participation of researchers in a particular field.

Referring to the deliberations held during various interactive sessions of the conference, Prof. Sharma urged the researchers to incorporate all the suggestions put forth during the conference in their papers to make their work even better.

He assured the organizers that the University will provide all necessary support in holding such events which are highly beneficial for the society in general and students and scholars in particular.

He also commended the efforts of the Rector, Prof G.M. Bhat and the Organizing Secretary Jatinder Manhas in successfully organizing the conference which drew researchers from all over the country to Bhaderwah.

The Keynote speaker was Prof Praveena Chaturvedi of Gurukul Kangri University, Hardwar who spoke on Mobile Agents. Some of the paper presenters were asked to share their experiences about the workshop. This was followed by the presentation of certificates and mementos. The Best Paper Awards of the three sessions were given to Ms Anjana Sharma Asst Prof GGM Science College, Jammu, Dr Lalit Goyal, DAV College Jalandhar and Mr Abid Sarwar, Research Scholar, Department of Computer Sciences and IT, University of Jammu, The proceeding were conducted by Mr Saurabh Shastri, Asst Professor, Department of Computer Sciences and IT, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu.

Earlier during the day, the third session of the Conference held in the Kailash Conference Hall started with an invited talk delivered by Dr Amit Verma, Panjab University Chandigarh on Artificial Intelligence and Facial recognition. This was followed by a series of paper presentations after which there was a question and answer session.

Other faculty members present were Prof Vinod Sharma, P rof Lalitsen Sharma, Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Dr Jasbir Singh of Department of Computer Sciences and IT, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu as well as Prof Dipankar Sengupta of the Department of Economics, University of Jammu who coordinated the Conference.
