Kashmira Singh expresses concern over developmental inertia; lack of utility services



Kathua , September 28, (Scoop News)-State Vice President National Conference and former MLC Th Kashmira Singh on Wednesday castigated PDP-BJP Government for pushing Jammu and Kashmir into unprecedented crisis due to wrong policies, as a result of which the people of the three regions were suffering adversely.
Addressing a public gathering at Village Bhatyari in Kathua Tehsil, Th Kashmira Singh said that development has been hit the most and due to lack of utility services, the people were facing acute problems on account of drinking water and power supply. He said dilapidated condition of roads has impacted vehicular movement largely while various interior roads are in real bad shape.
The State Vice President said that flash floods have caused heavy damage to property and agricultural fields and the farmers were facing main brunt. “No attention is being given to restoration works which has multiplied problems in several areas of the district”, he added.
Mr Singh expressed concern over the continued unrest in Kashmir, saying due to inimical ideologies of the coalition partners, the state was passing through a difficult phase.
Later, the State Vice President and local party leaders visited the residence of fomer legislator Sagar Chand and conveyed condolences on the passing away of his wife. They prayed for peace to the departed soul.
