Congress castigates ruling coalition over backdoor appointments in police
and JK Bank on political consideration in Kashmir valley
Jammu, February 17, (Scoop News)-A meeting of top leadership of JKPCC was held here on Friday to discuss the overall political and security scenario in the State and the burning issues of people.



The meeting was chaired by JKPCC chief,G.A. Mir and attended by senior leaders of the party.


Those present were M/s Sham Lal Sharma, Rigzin Jora, Peerzada Mohd. Sayeed, Tara Chand, Jugal Kishore(MLC), Mula Ram, Taj Mohiuddin, Raman Bhalla, G.M. Saroori(MLA), Haji Rashid(MLA), Ravinder Sharma, Farooq Andrabi and Mohd. Ameen Bhat (MLA).



The meeting reviewed the prevailing political and security scenario in the State besides discussing the exercise being undertaken for the delimitation of Panchayats in the run of to the Panchayat Elections in the State.



The meeting viewed concern over the emerging security scenario and the worsening situation in the valley.



The meeting discussed the overall situation and the related developments on the security and political fronts. The meeting also took serious note of the illegalities and irregularities being conducted by the Rural Development Dept. in the process of delimitations of wards, in a most arbitrary, unfair and partisan manner on political favoritism and decided to approach the authority for a free, fair, impartial and independent exercise of delimitation for a fair conduct of elections, which should be held the earliest possible to revive these grass root institutions.



The meeting also viewed the serious concern over the backdoor appointments undertaken by the coalition government especially in Kashmir valley in different departments like police and J&K Bank on political considerations and took strong exception to this illegal exercise at the cost of genuine and deserving youth.



The crises on account of hike in prices and failure of the government to provide ration and sugar to the people also figured in the meeting and it lashed out at the government for its hallow and tall claims on this fronts. Various others issues like those of daily wagers, casual labours and need based, contractual, academic arrangements besides and allegations of unfairness and irregularities in various recruitments also were highlighted in the meeting.



The meeting decided to apprise the Governor about these matters and various other issues concerning the different suffering sections and the general public....
