| Police public meet held in Baramulla | |
Srinagar ,February 22, (Scoop News)- In its efforts to strengthen the public police cooperation and the involvement of the common public in the overall development of the society, Jammu and Kashmir police today organized a public meeting at Dak Bungalow Baramulla.
The meeting was attended by a huge gathering of people including representatives of organizations viz Auqaf Islamiya Baramulla, Greater Baramulla, Beopar Mandal and other Mohalla committee members, transport and trade union presidents besides some senior citizens of various other civil societies.
During the meeting various issues relating drug addiction, traffic management and other issues of vital importance were discussed with concerned officers of the department. The representatives presented their suggestions regarding better policing and assured their coordination and cooperation in curbing crime. Moreover, importance was given on disseminating awareness by organizing awareness camps and seminars across the district.
On the occasion, SSP Baramulla Mir Imtiyaz Hussain highlighted the role of police department in the overall safety and security of the society. He stressed upon the public support and said that police department will Continue it efforts in counselling the youth.
In the meeting the civil society members hail the role played by the SSP and the team in controlling social crimes including drug addiction.
