| Workshop on stress and anger management held at SIKPA Udhampur | | Jammu, April 19, (Scoop News)- V.K.Singh,IPS,ADGP Hqrs J&K today delivered a very informative Power Point presentation and briefed around 400 Police personnel including staff , BRTC (Lady constables) trainees and other senior officers of SKPA Udhampur on Anger and Stress Management and explained how to acquire emotional intelligence skills for effective performance of professional and personal commitments. Sh Singh deliberated in detail on different aspects like self awareness, self regulation, empathy and relationship management.
The purpose of the lecture was to acquaint the officers/officials as to how to manage anger and stress while performing their duties in difficult, stressful and adverse situations. The main objective of the lecture delivered by Sh Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, was also to enable the Police force to dissociate themselves from the stress and strains and to propel their professional capabilities ahead.
The officer stressed the participants that Anger and Stress is linked to our lives and the police personnel need to be sensitized about such an important issue which can help them both in their professional and personal lives. He further advised the participants to get rid of biases in them and ensure free and impartial policing.
Varinder Sharma,IPS,DIG Udhampur Reasi Range and Sh. Shailendra Kumar Mishra, IPS, SSP, Udhampur, along with a number of senior police officers also attended the lecture .
At the outset, the Director S.K. Police Academy Udhampur Mohd. Sulaiman Salaria,IPS,IGP welcomed the chief guest and other senior officers participating in the lecture.
