Vakil lambasts Ganga, Madhav on provocative remarks, asks Mehbooba to quit or silence BJP
Says ‘PDP’s silence shows party’s sell out for power’

Srinagar, April 21, (Scoop News)- Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today condemned the provocative remarks of Mehbooba Government’s Industries Minister Chander Prakash Ganga and All India BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav over army’s actions against stone pelters and asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to quit or shut the mouths of BJP leaders through intervention of BJP top brass particularly party president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Taking a strong exception to the controversial remark of Mehbooba Government’s Industries Minister Chander Prakash Ganga wherein he has asked for firing bullets on youth pelting stones, Vakil said Ganga’s ‘ bullet for stone’ remark shows BJP’s intentions of implementing a policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Kashmir. Stating that now not only Ganga but also All India BJP General Secretary Ram Madav has complimented army for tying a youth with an army vehicle, Vakil said Madhav should bear in mind that nobody is above law whether in uniform or plain clothes and law should take its own course.
Warning Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of the dire consequences of the communalizing tendencies of BJP leaders ahead of 2019 upcoming parliamentary elections, Vakil called upon the Chief Minister to either quit as head of the PDP-BJP coalition or seek a written apology from both Ganga and Madhav with an assurance that BJP puts blanket ban on its leaders and workers on issuing provocative remarks which could flare up communal tension in the state. Vakil regretted that silence of PDP on BJP’s conspiracy in recent legislative council elections and the provocative remarks of Ganga and Madhav are exposing sell out of the political agenda by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti just for power nothing else.
Bickering within coalition government had created uncertainty in the administration and government does not look functioning in the state, adding to the miseries of the people who are already facing hardships due to turmoil in the valley. if the provocative statement of the BJP leadership will continue. It will lead to disastrous situation and will distance the people from the mainstream. Government has to take steps to create peaceful atmosphere but it is unfortunate that government is itself adding fuel to the fire which could not b controlled by the present weak government Vakil added.
