Panthers Party shall file damage suit against Delhi Police in Apex Court
after being bulldoze from Jantar Mantar

Srinagar, April 21, (Scoop News)- Several political groups, NGOs, media groups condemned bulldozing of Panthers Party Office in exile at Jantar Mantar last evening where Panthers Party office in exile was razed to the ground in the full day light by Delhi Police under the direction of Prime Minister of India to wash away the existence of Panthers Party from Jantar Mantar, where Panthers Party’s Headquarters in exile were established after the Modi government bulldozed the Panthers Party office from 17, V.P. House, New Delhi in September, 2015. Prof.Bhim Singh had shifted NPP headquarters at Jantar Mantar where several other groups including ex-servicemen have been sitting on protests seeking justice from the government.
Several political groups, NGOs, lawyers organisations and youth activists at Jantar Mantar this morning at the demolished site of NPP headquarters which were established in September, 2015 after the Supreme Court of India refused to admit Panthers Party petition against its removal from Vithalbhai Patel House, New Delhi.
Nearly 100 political, social activists, lawyers, youth and student leaders gathered together and condemned the police action demolishing the Panthers Party office at Jantar Mantar in one voice demanding apology from Modi government for assaulting Prof.Bhim Singh and demolishing NPP headquarters thus damaging the interest of nationalist people of J&K in particular who had been receiving an encouraging message from Delhi that national integration needs to be strengthened from Kashmir to Kanyakumari so that justice shall be delivered to every citizen of India from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
The prominent leaders who participated in the meeting included M/s. B.S. Billowria, Advocate Supreme Court, Rajiv Jolly Khosla, President-DPNPP, Romesh Khajuria-Vice President, Dildar Hussain Beg, General Secretary, Anil Sharma, President, Rajasthan Pradesh, Naresh Ambedkar, President, Tamilnadu, S.K. Bandopadhyay, Advocate, President, West Bengal, Babur Jamshed Khan, General Secretary-UP and others.
The council of civil liberties for the residents of J&K has decided to file a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the treacherous invasion on the civil rights of residents of J&K which is evident from the fact that Panthers Party office in exile was invaded without pre-warning or any notice. Prof.Bhim Singh informed the Members of the civil society and lawyers community that Panthers Party at Jantar Mantar was registered with the Parliament Police Station and the authorities were notified with a request that the Panthers Party may be informed if there is any approach or decision to demolish the Panthers Party Office.
Delhi Pradesh Panthers Party President Rajiv Jolly Khosla has submitted a list of Articles and valuables which have been stolen by Delhi Police or removed or damaged completely in the absence of Delhi Panthers Party leaders. He said more than 150 sitting chairs, at least 10 working tables, two refrigerators, two coolers, five trunks containing the law books and files of Prof.Bhim Singh pertaining to the public interest litigation, more than 500 Panthers Party flags, about 50 large banners and portraits were smashed by the bulldozers in the style those bulldozers were used in Turkman Gate in Emergency. The civil liberties defenders condemned this action as blatant exercise of the authoritarian attitude of the government and demanded a compensation of Rs.50 lacs for the damages caused to the properties including furniture, text-books, court files, albums, refrigerators, computers and other material including bed-cuisine and mattresses. The invading police party did not spare even the photos of the freedom struggle like Sr. Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, Lal Lajpat Rai, Asfaqullah Khan, Rani Jhansi, Khudi Ram Bose and several others martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle against the British Empire. The photographs of former Prime Ministers like Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Sr. Ballabhbhai Patel were not spared.
The committee decided in one voice to file a PIL in the Supreme Court of India against the Central Govt. for causing damages to a nationalist political party—J&K National Panthers Party and damaging political mission of National Panthers Party that India is one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
