VC SABDGB expresses dismay over Reasi incident

Jammu, April 26, (Scoop News)- Expressing dismay over the Reasi incident, Vice-Chairman State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars and Bakerwals, Choudhary Zafar Ali today said the law and order machinery should deal with such incidents firmly to prevent harassment of innocent citizens of the State.
In a statement Choudhary Zafar Ali said the miscreants involved in this unfortunate incident have tried to hit at the centuries old brotherhood among the people of various communities living together in the State. “The hapless nomadic family was moving along with their cattle as per the age-old tradition to summer stations with valid permission from the administration,” he said and added that such acts of high-handedness are highly condemnable and intolerable.
“During my visit to Reasi on 25 April 2017, it was observed that the District Administration, both civil and police have worked with promptness and wisdom to deal with the situation and have prevented further escalation of tension in the area,” he said and added that the role of civil and police administration is really appreciable.
