Kupwara Attack: 3 soldiers martyred,2 militants also killed | Dy CM pays tributes to slain soldiers |
Srinagar, April 27, (Scoop News)- Militants today morning attacked an Army camp in Chokibal area of Panzgam in Kupwara district of North Kashmir. Three Army men, including a Captain were martyred in this suicide attack on an Army camp. Some jawans are reported to be injured in the attack.
In the retaliatory fire from the Army, two militants were gunned down.
The deceased officer has been identified as Captain Ayush but the names of the two soldiers were not immediately known.
The Army has launched its combing operation to ascertain whether or not some more fidayeen managed to sneak into the camp.
Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh has paid rich tributes to the soldiers killed in an encounter in Panzgam area of the district Kupwara today. Dr Singh while paying tributes to the martyred soldiers said that they have rendered the ultimate sacrifice while fighting the elements inimical to peace. He said their sacrifices would be remembered for ever.
Deputy Chief Minister also expressed solidarity with the families of the martyred soldiers and hoped that they would be able to bear the tragic loss.
