Congress enrolls 8.25 Lakh primary members in Jammu and Kashmir



Jammu, May 17, (Scoop News)-AICC Observer and party Public Relation Officer (PRO) for Jammu and Kashmir Hussain Dalwai,MP Rajya Sabha, Wednesday chaired a meeting at party office in Jammu to review the organizational affairs and activities especially the ongoing membership drive of the party in the state.

PCC president G.A. Mir besides AROs of the AICC Deepak Rathore and Maqsood Mirza and senior functionaries of PCC, District presidents, contesting candidates and ex-legislators attended the meeting to review the progress of the membership of the party at the booth levels.

Mir briefed the PRO about the details of the membership in different parts right from booth level as the result the Primary Membership and Active Membership has entered third phase of delegates of the party at various levels. It was disclosed that a very encouraging response has been received for the party membership in the State.

It is because of the failure of the BJP in Jammu province and PDP in Kashmir province to deliver and fulfill their commitments especially betrayal of the mandate of the people, PCC chief added.

Hussain Dalwai(MP) expressed great satisfaction over the successful membership drive and greeted PCC president G.A. Mir and other leaders for their dedication and hard work.

The PRO also praised Mr. Mir for his great organizational skills. He informed the meeting that Congress party in first phase is going to hold organizational elections at booth level, in second phase block level and then Dist level and in 4th phase the elections of PCC president will be held.

The whole process will be completed as per schedule issued by “ Central Election Authority”.

Sr. vice president Sham Lal Sharma, vice presidents Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, Rajnesh Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Shabir Ah. Khan, Namrata Sharma, Faqir Nath, Th. Shiv Dev Singh, G.L. Chalotra, Krishan Chander Bhagat, Ashok Dogra, Vinod Khajuria, S.S. Shingari, District presidents Anil Chopra, Sain Ab. Rashid, Ashok Gupta, Arun Singh Raju attended the meeting....
