Army holds Tiger Hill Archery competition in Kargil
45 archers participate in competition, 12 selected players to take part in Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations this year


Kargil(Ladakh), May 18, (Scoop News)-Tiger Hill Archery competition was organised in Kargil between May 15 and May 17 evening by Army for the villagers of Kargil region.


A total of nine teams comprising of five players each, participated in the competition. Twelve archers have been selected from the tournament to take part in this year Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations.

Archery is a very popular traditional sports among the locals of the Kargil region. The sport is conducted even during cultural and social events in the region. The villagers have natural talent for archery and enjoy it as a recreational activity as well as competitive sports.

The winning teams and individuals were felicitated by the Army. The villagers appreciated the efforts of Army in promoting the sports of Archery in the region and help in preserving the local culture and tradition.
