IGP Kashmir visits Anantnag, Pulwama Chairs officers meets

Srinagar, May 20, (Scoop News)- Calling for the strengthening of police public relations, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone Shri Munir Ahmad Khan, directed the police officers to ensure polite and humane attitude while dealing with the general public, saying that it will help to achieve the desired results.
IGP who was accompanied by DIG, South Kashmir Shri S.P Pani said this while charring the meetings of officers in South Kashmir’s Anantnag and Pulwama District.
IGP also chaired police public meeting in Anantnag in which transporters, members of Auqaf committee, trade union and respectable citizens from various parts of the district participated. The participants while interacting with the IGP highlighted various issues of public importance. IGP heard them patiently and assured them that their highlighted issues will be looked into on priority.
The officers of the two South Kashmir districts apprised the IGP about the security scenario, crime control, community policing and other police strategies in their respective jurisdictions.
IGP while chairing a darbar of Jawans at Anantnag heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be redressed in shortest possible time. He said that welfare of jawans has always been priority and added that more welfare schemes have been introduced to benefit the jawans and for their families in recent times. He impressed upon the jawans and officers about the importance of common people and role of J&K Police in ensuring safety and security of people.
The meeting at Pulwama was attended by SSP Pulwama Shri Mohammad Aslam, SSP Awantipora Shri Mohammad Zaid Malik, SP Shopian Shri Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar and other senior officers and in Anantnag the meeting was attended by SSP Anantnag Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan, SP Kulgam Shri Shridhar Patil, ASP Anantnag Shri Ajaz Rasool and other senior officer of the District.
