| Army conducts third International Yoga Day | |
Srinagar, June 21, (Scoop News)-In an expression of not only the desire to live a healthy life but also of mutual respect, regard and bonhomie, today Army joined the Awaam of Kashmir at various places to celebrate the third International Yoga Day.
The day was celebrated with befitting zeal and vigour at various Army Camps across the Valley, where the Army personnel joined Awaam in a series of Yogic exercises as a symbol of strengthening bonds. The importance of spiritual discipline and harmony between mind and body was reinforced to all the participants who were unanimous in acknowledging the benefits of Yoga, a gift of India to the world.
Similarly ,Children and family of a large number of Army Goodwill Schools also joined in the celebrations .Awantipora based Victor Force hosted the students and staff of all the AGS’ under its aegis , who keenly participated in the event. This international day was also celebrated by the Army personnel deployed along the Line of Control with the people living in remote areas of Gulmarg, Uri, Tangdhar, Kupwara and Gurez.
