DAWAT-E-IFTAAR’ was hosted by Army at JAK LI Regimental | | Srinagar, June 23, (Scoop News)- During the ongoing holy month of Ramadaan, the close bonhomie between the Army and the AWAM at Srinagar has been at its peak with love and commitment towards each other being reaffirmed. In this series, a ‘DAWAT-E-IFTAAR’ was hosted by Army at JAK LI Regimental Centre on Thursday 22 June for the AWAM of Srinagar. The chief host, GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen JS Sandhu welcomed the guests who turned up in large members. Jenab Syed Mohd Altaf, Minister of Education, Jenab Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for Law & Rural development, Dr SP Vaid, DGP J&K, Jenab Farooq Ahmed Lone, DC Srinagar, Jenab Zulfiqar Hasann IG (Ops) Sringar, Jenab Khurshid Iqbal, Adrabi, VC Kashmir University, Jenab Tejinder Singh SP Budgam, Jenab SP Jain, DIG CRPF graced the occasion highlighting close synergy between the Army and Civil administration in the region. All prominent citizens including educationists, lawyers and prominent personalities from various fields were also present in strength during the ‘Dawat-E-Iftaar’. A unique feature depicting the secular credentials of Srinagar was the participation of members from Sikh, Kashmiri Pandits & Christian communities in the event. Interacting with all the guests the GOC, Chinar Corps wished peace and prosperity for the Kashmiri AWAM. The pious and cordial environment to include Iftaar and offering of Nawaz was enjoyed by all wherein everyone prayed for peace and development in Kashmir.
