Army conducts CBT for youth from remote areas of south east Ladakh
26 youth to visit mainland India including historical places and modern cities

Karzok(Ladakh), July 13, (Scoop News)-A Capacity Building Tour (CBT) for youth of Puga, Sumdo, Karzok, Nyoma, Hanle and Samad Rokchen hailing from remote areas of southeastern Ladakh is being organised under Operation Sadbhavana .

The tour will be travelling to Chandigarh and Dehradun through scenic route of Sarchu- Manali. The Capacity Building Tour was flagged off today from Nomadic Residential School (NRS), Puga.

The tour consists of one teacher, 26 youths of Puga, Sumdo, Karzok, Nyoma, Hanle and Samad Rokchen alongwith one officer, one junior commissioned officer and one non commissioned officer from the local unit in Karzok.

The aim of this tour is to give these youths an exposure to the developments of mainland India and the rich culture of the country by organising visits to historical places and modern cities.

These locals traditionally live a very difficult life in areas which lie above an altitude of 14000 feet and remain isolated and cut off from the mainstream world.

This initiative by Indian Army for conducting Capacity Building Tour of this nature will prove very fruitful in exposing them to opportunities that modern India has to offer....
