To protect CPEC, China- Pakistan design to create a buffer zone deep inside Indian territory

Partapur(Ladakh), July 17, (Scoop News)-In a bid to protect prestigious China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) from constant monitoring by India, Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) and Pakistani army are joining hands to dislodge Indian troops from the strategic locations of Siachen.

“Sudden raking up of Doklom issue by China is a strategic tactic to deflect Indian attention but the real intention is to hit somewhere in Jammu and Kashmir,” said a report.

India has 221 km long International Border (IB- Pakistan calls it Working Border) in Jammu region and 365 km long Line of Actual Control (LoAC) with China in Ladakh region besides Line of Control (LoC) which divides the state into two parts extends to 1,001 km, 205 in Jammu region, 160 km in Kashmir valley and 336 km in Ladakh and Siachen.

Incidentally, Sino-Indian border has become more problematic than what it was 100 years ago.

Nearly 500 Chinese elite force and about 350 Pakistan soldiers have undergone strenuous training on glaciated high altitude warfare, the report said, adding these forces are also trained in martial arts and in using minimum weapons in dislodging the Indian troops from stationed at the world’s highest battle ground.

Earlier, China used to play politics with India but had not created a situation in Kashmir which is backed by Pakistan. The proximity between the two countries is a matter of concern not only for India but also for several other countries in the region besides US and others.

Surprisingly, China is trying to enhance trade with India and at the same time pretending to be ignorant about Pakistan’s involvement in terror as it intends to check India in South Asia. Incidentally, part of it is an attempt to maintain its political and diplomatic hegemony. India has an adverse balance of trade with China as India’s imports from China stands at over US $ 95 billion.

However, the chief minister of the roiled state of Jammu and Kashmir, Ms Mehbooba Mufti, on Saturday charged ‘external forces’ for the ongoing crisis and violence in the state and named not just Pakistan but also China.

‘Kashmir mein hum law and order ki ladai nahi ladh rahen hain. Jab tak pura muluk, political parties saath nahin dengey, tab tak yeh jang nahi jeet sakte,’ (The war we are fighting in Kashmir is not that of law and order. We cannot win this war alone unless the people and political parties of this country will not support us), she said.

Ms Mehbooba said the ongoing crisis is a handiwork of ‘external forces’ and unfortunately, ‘China’ is also trying to interfere in it.

Political analysts suggest her reference to China, appears to the ongoing standoff between the two world’s two most populous neighbouring countries over Doklam bordering Sikkim and Bhutan and not specifically to Kashmir.

Surprisingly, China has, earlier, made several intrusion bids at various places along the LoAC in Ladakh region. ...
