Pak’s ISI agency pumping narcotics in J&K
Abolish so-called cross-LoC trade centres to check Narco-terrorism: Team Jammu

Jammu, July 23, (Scoop News)-Dubbing trans LoC trade as terror funding and drug trafficking routes to spread death and destruction in the whole country in general and J&K in particular, Team Jammu today demanded immediate stopping of this trade centres, which according to Team Jammu, have been used by Pakistan and its notorious ISI agency to accomplish their nefarious designs.
While addressing a press conference, chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal took serious note of recovery of 66.5 kilogramme of narcotics including Heroin worth over 300 crore from a truck, which had come from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) as a part of Cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade at Uri on Friday. He observed that cross LoC trade has become main source of funding terrorism in J&K through Hawala trade and importing narco-terrorism in this State.
While interacting with media persons, Zorawar Singh Jamwal along with advocate Alisha Kohli, Gohar Farooq, Rajesh kapoor, Er Chandan Datta, Sunil Singh Raipuria, Abhijeet Singh and Shivam Mahajan, today said that they have been repeatedly cautioning state government that anti-India forces are active to smuggle narcotic in the country through LoC to encourage narco-terrorism. He said that LoC is being used by the international drug mafia to flow deadly drugs into Indian states including J&K.
While demanding immediate stopping of this so-called trade centres-one at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch and Kaman Post at Uri sector in Kashmir Valley, Zorawar Singh Jamwal reminded that two years ago a big consignment of narcotics including 305 packets of brown sugar worth several crores from a PoK truck was seized at the same “trade centre” of Uri. Besides, a couple of weeks ago heroin worth two crores was recovered by Indian Army from Mendhar sector of Poonch district.

Appreciating the alert police team that detected big contraband in the guise of mercantile goods at Uri, Team Jammu also reminded that big crackdown was conducted by Rajouri Police a couple of months back on drug peddlers during which atleast 23 drug peddlers were detained and booked under PSA. “There is need to conduct similar crack downs in other districts of Jammu province to break the back-bone of drug mafia”, he demanded.
He further mentioned that recently, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which had registered a formal FIR in connection with terror funding in the Valley, has also started investigation into cross LoC trade links. Already NIA has suggested to stop the cross LoC trade links, which have been used by some forces in Valley to accomplish their dangerous game plans.
“What more evidences do the Union and state governments required to stop trans-LoC trade from these centres?”, Zorawar asked and cautioned that any delay in abolishing these trade centre would be proved dangerous and disastrous for the countrymen and younger generation.
