Minority status to non-Muslims in J&K

Dear Editor,
It was indeed a welcoming decision taken by the Supreme Court regarding the minority status for non-Muslims in J&K. The centre must take its decision within three months and should grant minority status to the non Muslim subjects of J&K. A very special thanks to advocate Ankur Sharma for bringing this important issue and took this important matter to the Supreme Court. Muslims in J&K state represent 68 per cent of the state's population and being a majority in the state they are utilizing the schemes that are meant for the minorities. The various minority’s welfare schemes include scholarships, coaching for UPSC exams, economic empowerment, women welfare schemes etc. From the past several years, Jammu and Leh people have suffered a lot in terms of development and getting a govt job in J&K. If the welfare schemes are meant for the minorities, then the minorities in J&K should utilize the govt. welfare schemes. Why the central govt. cannot see this? It is a very polite to Modi Ji to intervene in this matter and grant Minority status to non-Muslims population of J&K state which is certainly the need for the hour.
