Youth encounter problems due to Govt’s wrong policies: Congress

Billawar (Kathua), September 13,(Scoop News)-Observing that PDP-BJP coalition in J&K has failed to formulate a compehensive policy to create job avenues for educated unemployed youth of the State, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and Congress leader Thakur Balbir Singh Wednesday regretted that youth were bearing maximum brunt of the anti-people policies being propagated by this regime.

Addressing series of meetings in Billawar assembly segment to interact with youth, Thakur Balbir Singh said that except promises nothing has been done by the incumbent non-performing government to solve problems of the unemployed educated youth. He pointed out during the last nearly three years, government has not come out with a policy for the youth.

Singh regretted that present regime has failed to bring transparency and accountability in the recruitment process because there are allegations that deserving educated youth are not getting jobs. He lamented that at the cost of deserving candidates, ministers’ relatives are getting jobs in government departments.

Referring to the anarchy in governance, Mr Singh said this prevailing mess has resulted in a total collapse of system in the State. He said while corruption is a major problem in the whole country, in J&K it had the patronage of people in high places.

He said that this government has failed on all fronts and every section of the society is bearing brunt of the misdeeds of this regime.

“The present regime has miserable failed to do justice with the people as it has not fulfill any of the promises made with the people during 2014 elections”, he observed, adding “corruption has crossed all limits during the last more than two years because there is no transparency and accountability in the governance”.

Singh said that as far as the performance of the present regime was concerned, it appears only on papers and nothing concrete was visible on ground.

“Inability of the PDP-BJP government to respond to problems could have negative fallout on the situation in the sensitive state”, he said and mentioned that since formation of this government alienation among masses has been increasing.
