| Governor distributes prize at youth mela | | 
Srinagar, October 22, (Scoop News)- A Youth Mela was organised by the Chinar Corps at SKICC Srinagar on 21 Oct 2017 to enhance engagement with the youth and instill a desire of peace. Governor N.N. Vohra graced the occasion as the chief guest. Several events were organised to provide an opportunity to show case the talent and creativity of the Kashmiri youth. The theme of the mela was “Together We Can – We Will”. Various competitions such as Painting competition, Singing competition & Group Dance Competition were conducted under various categories. Attractive prizes were awarded to the participants by the Governor and Mrs. Usha Vohra. Army Public School, BB Cantt was the winner for the Group Dance Competition while Mr. Adil Hussain and Ms Jasmeet Kaur came first in Singing Competition. Laraib Solha and Irtika Hamid Bazaz won the first prize in painting competition.
The event instilled a spirit of creativity and encouraged the importance of arts amongst students and youth. The locals applauded the efforts of the Army and showed keen involvement in conduct of the event.
