Kavinder launches marble pathway work for Lakshmi Narayan Temple Gandhinagar





Jammu, October 22, (Scoop News)-The Speaker of Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, launched the work of laying of marble pathway leading to Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple at Gandhinagar here Sunday morning.


Jammu Municipal Corporation has taken up this work under Constituency Development Fund scheme. Kavinder Gupta is the Member of Legislative Assembly from Gandhinagar Constituency and this work has been sanctioned by him under CDF scheme for the benefit of devotees.


The work started amidst chanting of hymns. The pathway is likely to cost about Rs five lakh.


Kavinder Gupta asked the engineers of the JMC to ensure that quality marble is laid so that it adds to the beauty of the surroundings as well as interior of this important Temple of Jammu city.


He told them that incase funds already released by him under CDF fall short due to imposition of GST, he would release more funds to meet the additional cost but the quality of marble and work should not be compromised.


The president of Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple Trust, Th. G S Charak apprised the Speaker about various works taken up to improve the amenities for devotees in the temple complex. He said that new temple of Shree Yantra has been added in the complex which is one of the few such temples in India.


An elaborate 3-day religious programme has been finalised by the Trust for inauguration of this important temple from 23rd November this year in which scholars and Pandits from Hardwar are participating the inauguration ceremony. He extended invitation to the Speaker and hoped that he would spare time for this important occasion.
