GOC 16 Corps calls on Governor
CAO SMVD, Kundal also meet Governor
Jammu,November 21, (Scoop News)- Lt. Gen. Saranjit Singh, GOC 16 Corps, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today and briefed him about the obtaining security situation in his entire Area of Responsibility, particularly along the Line of Control.
Governor discussed with the GOC certain issues relating to effective internal security management in the hinterland and further strengthening of the counter-infiltration grid.




Meanwhile Brig (Retd.) M. M. Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital (SMVDNSSH), called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
CAO Harjai briefed Governor about the to-date status of all aspects of the Hospital’s functioning, particularly about the increasing number of outdoor and indoor patients, number of diagnostic tests conducted, number of major surgeries performed etc since the Hospital was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India in April 2016.
Governor stressed the need to ensure optimum use of the state of the art diagnostic and other infrastructure available in the Hospital for providing best health care to the patients.



B. R. Kundal, former Member of the State Legislative Council and Chief Secretary, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Sh. Kundal discussed with the Governor various important issues of public importance, including the functioning of the administrative apparatus, the crucial importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in all spheres of functioning and the need for speeding up the implementation of development schemes and programmes.
Appreciating Sh. Kundal’s concerns the Governor urged him to vigorously continue his endeavours for promoting the people’s welfare....
