| Panun Kashmir extends full support to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sanmaan Yatra 2018 | | Jammu, December 05, (Scoop News)-Panun Kashmir conducted the meeting of its Political Affairs Committee today at Jammu. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir. It was attended among others by Virender Raina, National Spokesperson, Upinder Kaul, General Secretary, Kamal Bagati, General Secretary (Org), Virender Kaul, Organizing Secretary, N.M.Gadroo, Treasurer, Vijay Qazi, P.K.Bhan, K.K.Kaul, Surinder Kaul and Sameer Bhat, Convener, Panun Kashmir Youth. The meeting discussed the socio-political scenario of the state in context of the prevailing situation and extended full support to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sanmaan Yatra 2018 from Gurudwara Sheeshgunj to Anadpur Saheb commencing on 6th January 2018.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, in his speech, said that for six long decades, a section of the population of Jammu and Kashmir was given a special treatment and pampered at the cost of the minorities of Kashmir and the regions of Ladakh and Jammu. The issues of Kashmir majority were seen with the magnifying glasses while the others were left at the mercy of their fate. The end result of such a policy is that the Kashmiri Pandit community was forced to live as refugees in its own country, the West Pak refugees were treated as second class citizens instead of a part of the nation, the Jammu and Ladakh regions remained always on the edge and the genuine grievances of the minorities were put under the carpet always. It is for the first time that the forgotten classes of the society are receiving attention at the highest and appropriate level.
Panun Kashmir would like to make it very clear that the Article 370 and Article 35A have become an unnecessary baggage of the past errors of the rulers of India; there is a national consensus to review these absurd laws that are in contravention of the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Article 14 of the Indian Constitution to the citizens of India. These should be abrogated under the due process of law as soon as possible and the Constitution (Application to Jammu & Kashmir state) Order 14th May 1954, since was/is an intentional fraud, be also abrogated along with. The way, Section (A) was added to the Article 35 of the Constitution, the same way can be used to abrogate both 35A as well as the Art370.
Virender Raina said that Panun Kashmir appeals to the government to defer its proposal, to make Aadhaar linkage to the Ration Card a Rule, up to 31st March 2018 as per the latest guidelines. Accordingly, the relief may be sanctioned and distributed to the relief holders immediately without applying this Rule. We also emphasize that the promised declaration for appointment of 3,000 youth under the PM’s Package Plan needs to be translated into reality fully. The part declaration of the package is tantamount to justice delayed. A separate recruitment board should be constituted in this regard. The over aged youth issue needs immediate settlement with a onetime compensation plan of twenty five lakhs of rupees per family. We also make a fervent appeal to the government to consider seriously the issue of enhancement of relief to the relief holders keeping in view the price escalation and demand that the amount of the relief may be doubled with immediate effect.
