Keep hoarders and black marketers at bay: CPI (M) to govt


Srinagar, December 06, (Scoop News)- Expressing dismay over the rising prices, CPI (M) state secretary Ghulam Nabi Malik Wednesday called for intensifying market checking to keep hoarders and black marketers at bay.
In a statement issued here, he said, "The prices of essential commodities have sky rocketed in the market, but the government is in deep slumber. There is no price check as poor man is being fleeced. The market checking squads of the CAPD and other agencies are nowhere."
"The power supply in Kashmir, especially in Kulgam district has worsened to an extent that in most of the areas people are crying for electricity. The on- going board and university examinations demand marked improvement in the power scenario, but instead the situation is worsening day-by-day. At a time when power, ration, LPG, kerosene oil, and other essential commodities have virtually been missing, the government is cozying in the warmth of Jammu," he said.
