Kashmiri Muslims need job packages:Er Rasheed

Srinagar, December 06, (Scoop News)- Asking government to stop appeasing Kashmiri Pandits, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has doubted government’s designs to resettle Kashmiri Pandits at their native places.

In a statement issued today Er Rasheed said," it makes no sense that on one hand government makes tall promises and claims of bringing Kashmiri Pandits back but on the other hand decides to provide them huge job package under PMRP and other programs. Unless the packages and other concessions are not stopped no Kashmiri pandit is going to return as this self exile is like a Milky cow for most of them. These special job packages are also a gross root violation of the fundamental rights of majority community as their children have very meager opportunities to get jobs within and outside state."

Er Rasheed further said that rather carrying special recruitment drives for the educated youth of violence hit victims of Kashmir, government is adding salt to their injuries by engaging Kashmiri Pandits in bulk which is sure to have a negative impact on the proportionate strength of employees in various departments.

He said, “While Kashmiri Muslims have been facing worst since 1989 and education of the majority community has been hit so badly, the principal of natural justice demands huge and special package at all levels for the unemployed youth of majority community but both State and central governments have been doing reverse only for the reason New Delhi wants majority community of j& k to be deprived of job opportunities so as to make them more dependant like parasites. The share of youth hailing from majority community in various central government departments is almost negligible and now reserving special job packages for a smaller minority community is ample proof to understand the anti Kashmiri designs of the Government."
