Army holds Kho Kho match of rural students
19 youth from Sadda, Bandigala, Daggal-gala, Songri and Akhri participate in contest

Songri, January 10, (Scoop News)-With an aim to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the rural students of Rajouri District, a Kho Kho Competition was held at Songri.

The event provided impetus to the Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and also provide a competitive platform to showcase the hidden talent of the local populace.

In all 19 youth from villages Sadda, Bandigala, Daggal-gala, Songri and Akhari participated in the competition. The games also aimed at identifying talent and promoting sportsmanship amongst the youth. Sarpanch of Sadda village Mr Chain Singh and Mr Mohmmad Aslam, Sarpanch of Bandigala and Songri along with several villagers were present during the event.

Kho Kho being popular sports among the locals received overwhelming support from the locals, who came in large numbers to witness the match. The Sarpanch of villages thanked the Army and assured continued support in youth development programmes.
