| DC Leh appreciates transport unions for functioning from Bombgard Terminal | |
Leh, February 23, (Scoop News)-The Deputy Commissioner, Leh Avny Lavasa expressed her appreciation to all the transport unions of Leh for their cooperation in shifting to the “New Commercial Vehicle Terminal” at Bombgard.
DC, Leh also assured them that the district administration will put in all efforts to make the new terminal equipped with all facilities. Toilets at the terminal will be completed within a month. Drinking water facility and the approach road will be completed within a week time, DC said.
The parking space opposite taxi stand near Leh market has been handover to MC, Leh. In the same space booking office for taxi union shall be given on the roof top of the toilet along with space for about 10 vehicles of Taxi Union. Old Taxi stand shall now be used for multi-storey parking of vehicles. These initiatives have been taken in the larger public interest and will go a long way in decongestion of traffic in Leh town, decrease in pollution and a more organized transport service system.
