Ram Madhav addresses SC gathering on Dr. Ambedkar birthday

Jammu, April 14, (Scoop News)- BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav, while addressing a massive gathering of the members of Scheduled Caste community on the occasion of 127th birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, which is celebrated as “Samrasta Diwas” organized by State BJP Anusuchit Jaati Morcha at party office Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, in presence of BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, State Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Harinder Gupta, SC Morcha State President & MLA Dr. Devinder Manyal, SC, ST, BC Development Corporation Vice-Chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Morcha Prabhari N.D. Rajwal, said that the government should implement SC, ST atrocities act in the state in order to safeguard the interests of the weaker sections.
Ram Madhav said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was apostle of social equality and welfare of all the sections of the society and worked throughout his life for the weaker sections.
He emphasized that the whole society must be touched by atrocity on any other section. We must have “Samvedna”, he stressed. “The last person standing in line” is in sight of our government following the thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Deendayal Upadhayay as “Antodaya”. He also emphasized that the GDP of Nation must rise by improvement in the lives of downtrodden. He also prompted the youth to become job givers instead of job seekers.
Madhav expressed surprise that the SC,ST prevention of atrocities Act 1989 is not implemented in the state having more than 20% population of these communities. He asked the party MLAs belonging to the reserved categories to bring a bill in the assembly in this regard and said that the BJP stands for the cause of the weaker sections and do not treat their people for vote bank politics. He further assured the gathering that the Centre government will never let the SC ST prevention of atrocities Act weakened and the government has already approached the Apex Court to take its decision back.
Dr. Devinder Manyal, earlier, in his welcome address, spoke on the success achieved in life by Dr. Ambedkar due to his hard work. He said that Dr. Ambedkar was an institution in himself and gave a direction to the weaker sections to stand on own. “Be educated, be united and keep struggling are the three basic mantras as advised by Dr. Ambedkar to get what we deserve”, Dr. Manyal said adding that no one will give anything in gift to the community and hence these need to be followed.
SC Morcha State General Secretary Dharminder Kumar conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Sakina Bano, Chaman Lal Kanathia, Toofani, Ashok Gandhi and others were among the prominent SC delegates who attended the programme.
Meanwhile, MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma led the celebrations of “Samrasta Diwas” programme in Ward No. 40, Talab Tillo, amidst cultural programmes by the kids. State Secretary Sanjay Baru, District President Ayodhya Gupta, State Press Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Mandal President Jeet Angral, Mandal Vice-President Keshav Chopra and others were among the prominent persons who attended the programme.
A programme on “Samrasta Diwas” was also organized by BJP District Jammu West in Guru Ravidass Sabha, Kabir Colony.
State Addl. Media Secretary & Seh-Prabhari Rakesh Mahajan alongwith District President Jungbir Singh also conducted a programme of “Samrasta Diwas” at Samba.
