| CUK holds 19th FC meeting for first time at Ganderbal | |
Ganderbal, April 16, (Scoop News)- The 19th meeting of the Finance Committee of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) was held at varsity’s site office here on Monday with Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir in chair.
Joint Secretary (CU), MHRD, Dr. Jitendra K Tripathi, former Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Karnataka, Prof. A M Pathan, Dean School of Education, Prof. N A Nadeem, former Finance Officer, Jamia Hamdard University, Prof. Mushtaq A Zargar, former Chairman Governing Board NIT, Prof. M J Zarabi, Registrar, CUK, Prof. M Afzal Zargar and Finance Officer, CUK, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Haji were among others present during the meeting.
It is worthwhile to mention here that for the first time the meeting of a Statutory body of the university was held at its designated campus at Ganderbal. The FC members hailed the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir for holding the meeting at the designated campus and hoped that more such meeting would be held at Ganderbal in near future.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir informed the members about the progress made by the university on academic and infrastructure front. He said the varsity, despite facing several impediments on establishment of its own campus at the designated place, was marching ahead on the academics front. He further informed the members about the programmes offered by the varsity and the number of students currently enrolled in the university.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar and Finance Officer, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Haji also spoke on the occasion and shared details about the university functioning and finances.
Later the members took up agenda items and discussed them threadbare.
