Short film on a specially abled cricketer, Aamir, being screened in France
“Mind, Mightier Than Might’ narrates story of human attitude and inquisitiveness.


Bijbehara(Kashmir), May 15, (Scoop News)-Among eight documentaries shortlisted for screening during the festival of Federation of Cinema Sports Television (FICT) at Nice in France includes a 25 minute film ‘Mind, Mightier Than Might’ on a specially abled cricketer of south Kashmir, Aamir Hussain Lone (28).



The festival is planned to be inaugurated on May 29.
The lone short film from India has been directed by Jalal U Din Baba which exhibits complete redoing of cricketing talent and the determination to fight back despite the limitations. The short film based on a local youth Aamir and has made it to semi final along with other international sports documentaries in the contest.


The plot revolves around two main characters, Aamir and his para cricket teammate Zahoor Ahmed and the film titled ‘Mind, Mightier than Might’ narrates the story of human attitude with calm and inquisitiveness.


Other films to reach the semi final include ‘Goalkeeper’, My Name is Nour, ‘Are You Volleyball?’ and the works of several other celebrated directors.
Aamir lost both arms in his teens while he was working at the family owned saw mill on outer periphery of the village. He remained under treatment in a hospital for couple of years. However, his perseverance and eagerness has paid off.


Aamir has participated in several national para cricket tournaments across India and brought laurels for the state. His sports skills have been widely lauded. ...
