| Civic Action Program important for us to ensure secure environment : CRPF | |
Jammu,May 21, (Scoop News)-CRPF keeps on organizing Civic Action Programs commensurate with its public friendly image. The objective of these programs on the one hand is helping the general public of the area and on the other is to establish a direct interaction and better environment in its deployment area. In its Civic Action Programs, CRPF often organizes various programs and sports events for the youth of the area with the aim to explore their potential and provide them opportunities. Last year, Football tournaments were organized by CRPF in various districts of Jammu region in which SMVDU Katra Team-A emerged winner and Katra Football Club team settled Runner up from Reasi district. These participants were sent on a tour to various historical and tourist places in Gujarat viz. Junagarh, Madhavpur, Gir National Park, Girnal Hills, Somnath temple, etc. The entire expenditure on journey, stay and food was sponsored and arranged by CRPF. When these young players returned back from tour on 21.05.18, contentment was clearly visible on their faces. During a program organized by CRPF in their honour at Dheerti Dharore CRPF camp, Shri Abhay Vir Chauhan IG CRPF Jammu Sector said that CRPF will keep on organizing such tournaments in the future also and will also provide such opportunities of ‘Bharat Darshan’ so that the youth could nourish their cultural and historical awareness. He also reiterated the commitment of CRPF for helping the youth of the country in exploring their potential. While sharing his experience, Mr, Subrat, a player of Katra Football Club, said that they learnt a lot during this ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour and this journey is unforgettable for them. Shri Rahul Sharma said that by organizing this tour, CRPF has realized our dreams of visiting such historical places, which otherwise wouldn’t have been possible. Mr. Siddhant Sadotra, a player of Katra Football Club, highly appreciated the arrangement made by CRPF during the journey and urged the Force to provide such opportunities to the youth in future also by organizing sports events. The event was organized by 06 Bn CRPF under the able guidance of Jammu Sector CRPF.
