| Balbir briefs BJP leaders about welfare schemes of Corp | |
Jammu, June 12, (Scoop News)-Vice Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Balbir Ram Rattan, during his visit to the BJP Headquarter, Jammu, briefed the party’s senior functionaries about various welfare schemes of the Corporation meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.
Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, presented copies of a booklet containing details related to the welfare schemes of J&K SC ST BC Development Corporation and the procedure to be followed by the loan aspirants to avail the financial assistance in the form of loan.
The party functionaries were told that six Apex Corporations at the national level provide funds to the Corporation, which is a channelizing agency in Jammu & Kashmir, for helping the unemployed members of the reserved categories to set up own small units to earn livelihood and stand on their own instead of sitting idle and becoming burden on their parents. The VC also shared the facility of Education Loan and added that the meritorious students of the Target Groups, after 10+2, can avail loan for professional and technical studies in India as well as abroad.
The party leaders appreciated the efforts of the Corporation and stressed upon the VC to ensure that maximum population of the weaker sections is covered.
The party leaders who were briefed about the welfare schemes by the VC of the Corporation, included BJP State Vice President, Karan Singh, State General Secretary, Pawan Khajuria, State Additional Office Secretary, Jugal Gupta and All Cells Incharge S. Varinderjit Singh.
