Advisor Vijay Kumar visits CTC Lethpora
Interacts with trainee JKP cops

Pulwama, July 10, (Scoop News)- Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar Monday visited Commando Training Centre (CTC) Lethpora here and interacted with the trainees and the instructors of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
He was accompanied by Director General Police SP Vaid, Principal CTC JP Singh and other senior officers of the department.
The Advisor enquired about the different aspects of basic training being imparted to the recruits in different fields. He interacted with the trainee commandos and the instructors who apprised the Advisor about various modules of training.
Kumar called for improving the quality of training in the institute so as to make the policemen more professional and ready to deal with any situation. He asked them to use the training modules of the best forces of the country including that of National Security Guards (NSGs) so as to be equipped with modern techniques.
The Advisor was told that the training for the commandos is a continuous process and they are being trained to deal with any crisis or hostage-like situation.
He appreciated the instructors and the trainee commandos for their hard work and asked them to keep the professional standards high so as to have a well trained and a professional police force in the field.
The Advisor said the latest techniques of training introduced by the Jammu and Kashmir Police have proved useful to get desired results.
Later, the Advisor also visited the CTC canteen to inspect the quality of food being provided to the trainees besides other facilities including boarding lodging and healthcare facilities.
On the occasion, the Principal also apprised the Advisor about various issues being faced by the centre to which he assured of speedy redressal.
