| Four killed,nine others injured in Kishtwar accident,Governor expresses grief | | Jammu/Srinagar August 20 (Scoop News)-Four passengers were killed and nine others injured when a landslide struck a hilly road in Kishtwar district today police said.
Police said that the incident took place at Kulligad on the Kishtwar-Paddar road when huge boulders and debris came down from a hillock, trapping a passenger vehicle plying on the road..
Four persons were killed on the spot.
Nine other passengers were rescued and rushed to a hospital where the condition of some of them was stated to be critical, Police said.
According to Police the vehicle was carrying a group of devotees from Udhampur to the shrine of Machail in Padder Valley.
Meanwhile Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the loss of lives in a tragic accident in which a passenger bus was hit by a landslide in Kishtwar district.
Governor has prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families. He has wished speedy recovery to those injured in the accident.
Meanwhile Governor has issued directions to the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to provide best medical treatment to the injured at the District Hospital.
