RET forum demanding immediate release of pending dues
Threatned protest




Srinagar /Jammu,October 11 (Scoop News)-After announcing to release the 7th pay commission by State government, about forty thousand teachers of the state are still with out salaries from past more than four months .
According to a press release issued here the Jammu and kashmir Rehabar -e-taleem teachers forum said the salary of July, August and September are still pending and also the salary of month of February is also not released in some districts of the state.
The state chairman of the forum Farooq Ahmed Tantary said that teachers are in verge of starvation due to non release of their pending dues. He said that they are not in a position to arrange bread and butter for their families, even they are unable to pay school fee for their children's and medicine for their ailed parents.
Forum chairman said that teachers are forced to come on roads for their salaries which is the matter of concern. He said that in recent past state adminstration assured them that their seventh pay commission is being released from the month of September but their Salaries of month of July, August and September are still not released and reason best known to government. Forum appealed to state administration and concerned departments of the state to release the pending dues of more than forty thousand teachers of the state and free them from this mental trauma so that they can perform their duties in peace state of mind and with out any mental stress and anxiety
Tantary said that teachers were harassed on different issues and problems were created to harass them from day one. He said that release of timely salary is the right of the government employ but months were on and they are demanding the release of pending salaries.He questioned if the salary of an employ specially teachers were not paid on time, how can we expect that they can give their best in class rooms.
We will again come on roads if pending salaries were not released soon and the respinsblity of the same will be on state government and on the concerned departments, added Tantary.
