| International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction observed at Kargil | | Kargil,October 13 (Scoop News)-The District Disaster Management Authority, Kargil today organized International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction at Government Higher Secondary School, Baroo Kargil.
Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Vikas Kundal was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Chief Planning Officer, Kargil, District Superintendent of Police, Kargil, senior officers of district administration and a good number of students were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. He said that organizing of such programmes in the district will help stakeholders to understand and prepare themselves for any natural disaster.
