In a letter to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik, JKPCC leader has said that the vegetable and fruit growers in various parts of Jammu province have suffered immense loss to their crops due to heavy hailstones in some areas like in the Sunderbani, Nowshera and adjoining parts of Akhnoor Sub-division, which have great potential of vegetable production.

A large population is dependent mainly on vegetable growing and have suffered extensive loss. The government must immediately take stock of the situation and announce the relief package, without loss of time, so that the affected farmers take up the follow up measures.
