NC alone can bring political stability in J&K: Slathia
Vijaypur, November 05 (Scoop News)- Former minister Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia on Monday described National Conference as the only and ultimate destination for public spirited political activists, saying realization is dawning fast upon forward-looking and peace-loving young people to join the party for strengthening the idea of inclusive state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“An honest and dedicate effort alone would steer the state towards peace and political stability”, the State Secretary NC said while welcoming a senior Congress leader Mr Sohan Singh in the party fold at a function at Bari Brahmna this afternoon.

Mr Slathia traced the roots of the ongoing crisis across the state in the inherent anti-people policies being pursued by those inimical to peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.

“National Conference has a track record of maintaining peace and tranquility even in adverse situations, which has been proven time and again”, Mr Slathia said and asserted that that the party will continue to play its assigned role in making the state a better place to live in. The regional unity and communal harmony will continue to guide the cadre, he said adding that public welfare has all along been its focused agenda, he added.

Mr Slathia urged the National Conference cadre to further intensify their mass contact drive so that people don’t feel politically left-out due to anti-poor policies of the BJP.

He congratulated Mr Sohan Singh and his associates in the party fold and hoped that with their joining National Conference will be further strengthened at the grass roots level.

Those present on the occasion included former Sarpanch, Mr Balwant Singh besides Mr Tarseen Kumar Bawa, Mr Dilawar Singh, Mr Surinder Singh, Mr Mohan Singh and others.
