JTN urges youth to inculcate skill to become successful entrepreneurs

Leh, February 11 (Scoop News)- The valedictory function of 21_days training programme was concluded today at JKEDI premises, Leh organized by JK Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Leh. The Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was the chief guest on the occasion while as Councilor Chushul Konchok Stanzin also present.
Addressing a huge gathering of youth, CEC said that Govt. can’t provide job for everyone, as such, the youth must endeavour for instilling skill efficiency in different fields in order to venture their own business which have comparatively more income potential. Sharing ideas about viable businesses with the upcoming entrepreneurs of Leh district, JTN said that local products can be largely used for making school uniforms for thousands of our students instead of importing these non-biogradable items from outside Ladakh. He felt the need of developing a good design for school uniform so that students instead of feeling a sense of burden would delighted and feel pride to wear such uniform. Pointing towards unique local resources and few untouched sectors which have huge potentiality for business, Jamyang said that agro-based products and dairy productions are something that can explore massive job opportunities for the youth across the district. Our lands are highly conducive for variety of cash crops that too of organic value, JTN urged for growing high quality vegetables for our own consumption instead of importing non-local vegetables which are of highly health hazard owing to vast use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. He said that LAHDC at present actively working on devising a mechanism to stop importing non-local vegetables during peak summer when we have enough availability of local vegetable, JTN said that this would not only give a good business break for locals but would prove an advantage for better public health also.
Pointing towards lack of skill among the youth, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal strongly urged upon them to inculcate with all qualities of becoming a successful business more importantly a socially responsible entrepreneurs so that they could turn into a job provider also. He appreciated the J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Leh headed by its Executive Manager, Dorjey Wangchuk for holding time to time entrepreneurship development programmes covering so many business aspirant youths.
The Councilor Chushul, Konchok Stanzin also spoke on the occasion and gave valuable trading tips to the upcoming entrepreneurs.
Earlier, the Executive Manager Dorjey Wangchuk through a power point presentation highlighted the objectives of the institute and their various entrepreneurship programmes under different schemes.
