Chinar premier league martial arts championship held

Srinagar, March 09 (Scoop News)-The Chinar Premier League Martial Arts Championship was conducted from 07 to 09 March 2019 at Goswami Martial Arts Node, Sharifabad with the aim to promote Martial Arts and highlight the immense potential of the Kashmiri youth.
The championship commenced on 07th March 2019.The competition showcased the talent in Martial Arts forms of Wushu & Kickboxing in which 96 boys and 42 girls competed enthusiastically. Each event had three different age categories for both boys and girls. The league matches were played on knock out basis on the first day and a total of 24 boys and 24 girls competed in the semi-finals conducted on second day of the competition. The final matches were played on 09 Mar 2019.
Lt Gen KJS Dhillion, Yudh Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding Chinar Corps graced the Chinar Premier League Martial Arts Championship finals on 09 Mar 2019 and felicitated the medal winners.
The Corps Commander interacted with all participants and exhorted them to pick up such sports which enhances their self defense skills, instills enormous self confidence and may even be pursed as profession. The Corps Commander also applauded young girls for participation in martial arts, which not only enhances their self defense capability, but will also act as an example for others to emulate.
