J&K beset with administrative inertia, insecurity: Sagar
Says it is imperative to have a civilian government in the state

Srinagar ,March 13 (Scoop News)-and Kashmir National Conference on Wednesday asserted that at a when the state is beset with administrative inertia and insecurity, the governor administration is busy facilitating BJP and its agenda in the state saying that development has become prime causality as a result of Governor’s political pro-activeness.
Party general secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar while addressing a delegation of party leaders and functionaries from south Kashmir here at party head quarters Nawa- e- Subha, Srinagar, said, “Every sector of the state ranging from economy to agriculture is presenting a grim tale of abject neglect. The former BJP-PDP government had other things on mind while development was never a priority for them. However the incumbent governor administration proved equally inept and inefficient to rise up to the expectations of the people of the state,” adding, “No significant project has come up or been executed ever since BJP-PDP hobnobbed with each other. The governor administration also failed to deliver on development front, due to its chronic pre-occupation with politics.”
The delegation was headed by JKNC state secretaries Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah and Sakina Itoo.
Sagar while flaying the BJP-PDP for destroying the precious four years of the state, said, “Not even a single megawatt of power was added to the state during the rule of BJP-PDP. The so called bigger motive for which the unholy alliance was done also turned out to be hoax. The era of BJP-PDP saw an unprecedented surge in the violence related activities. Even highly educated youth took to violence. The chief achievement of the BJP-PDP alliance was to put the state to flames. On every conceivable matrix it failed and every single citizen of the state is paying the price for the BJP-PDP brand of misgovernance.”
Sagar while recounting the failures of former BJP-PDP government said, “Let us start with the economy. One of the biggest casualties was an all out assault on our financial autonomy by facilitating the implementation of GST in the state,” adding, “There is no constituency that the PDP-BJP alliance has failed in greater measure than farmers, hoteliers and craftsmen. The extension of GST has broken the very back bone of local small and marginal traders of the state.”
Sagar said that four advisors of the incumbent governor administration cannot become substitute to the 87 elected members of the assembly. “The former BJP-PDP regime and the incumbent governor administration are unarguably the dystrophic versions of a government. The people are yearning for an effective local state government that could work on multiple front, firstly to push the agenda of development and secondly the intensification of the efforts towards peace making. However it is the democratically elected government that is also being denied to the people.”
