Dental camp organises for locals of Chullan

Srinagar ,April 13 (Scoop News)-Dr Pratibha Athavale, an Ahmedabad based dentist, representing the ASEEM Foundation, an NGO, conducted the third leg of Dental Camp at Chullan, a remote location, off the main axis from Gingle. The Zorawar Rashtriya Rifles Battalion helped in the conduct of the camp, held on 9th, 10th and 12th April, under the aegis of Kalapahar Brigade. These dental camps will be conducted spread over four locations, with each leg being three days long. The aim of these dental camps is to provide access to professional dental treatment to the locals of remote and far flung areas.
The locals were informed of the camp in advance and the response was very good. A total of 160 patients from this area were treated. The treatments included scaling, filling, extraction and other dental procedures.
The Awaam expressed their gratitude to the Army for organising this dental camp which helped provide much needed access to such medical treatments close to their homes in remote areas, as for many people it isn’t possible or viable to make the long journey to the nearest hospital where quality dental care can be accessed. It is an ongoing effort by the Army and the ASEEM Foundation to bring relief and smiles to the faces of locals by treating and educating them about dental care and hygiene.
The fourth and last leg of the dental camp is scheduled to be held at Bararipura from 13th to 15th April.
