Kashmira Singh calls for strengthening secular forces


Kathua,April 13 (Scoop News)- Senior National Conference leader and former MLC Th Kashmira Singh has called for a decisive battle through the power of ballot against divisive forces, saying that politics of hate will not only retard the growth of the nation but create mistrust among the people.

Canvassing for the Congress candidate for Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha Constituency Mr Vikramaditya Singh, the former MLC said that vote to him will be support to preserving secular ethos of the State, which has been corner stone of the National Conference philosophy.

He addressed public meetings at Ward No 1 Hira Nagar, Village Changi, Deisa Chak, Marheen and Pajokey Chak.

Th Kashmira Singh cautioned the people against exploitative politics, saying use of religion to incite passion is detrimental to the unity and tranquility of the sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir, which has been a shining example of amity, tranquility and brotherhood for centuries. He urged the people to isolate communal forces and help in ushering the state to a new era of peace, progress and development.

Referring to the ongoing elections, the former MLC said the people of Kathua constituency have suffered immensely as they had no accessibility to their BJP representative in the Lok Sabha. He hoped that Mr Vikramaditya Singh will fulfill the urges and aspirations of the people of the constituency effectively.

Those present on the occasion included Provincial Joint Secretary Mr Bharti Sharma, Block Presidents Mr Aatma Singh, Mr Bindu Sharma, Mr Naresh Khajuria, Mr Dharampal Mr Kuldeep Verma and Mrs Soma Devi. They spoke in the public meetings at urged the people to vote for the Congress candidate in a big way.
